The Jamestown School Department, with the support of the Jamestown community, provides a learning environment that instills confidence, inspires enthusiasm for lifelong learning, and provides children with the skills and knowledge necessary to become engaged and productive citizens.
Dear Parents and Guardians,
State assessments provide us information to measure the effectiveness of our curriculum and programs, and identify areas where students may need extra support. We share the results of these assessments with you in order to provide information about your child’s progress in school toward college and career readiness. PARCC (Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers) assessments in Mathematics and English Language Arts will be administered again this year for all students. Eighth grade students will be participating in science NECAP (New England Common Assessment Program) assessments which measure proficiency in science.
All Lawn School students will participate in assessments that include reading, writing, and math according to the schedule below.
Eighth grade students will participate in NECAP Science assessments according to the schedule below.
